FAQs
Who can apply?
Any DJ profile can submit a Spotlight Release. The service is currently aimed at DJs and producers with productions suitable for Electric.
Is placement guaranteed?
No. Payment is authorised first, then captured only if the team approves the release for the selected package.
Do I need a Spotify link?
Yes. We use Spotify release URLs for review and playlist placement. The team may request additional assets if the selected package needs deeper support.
What happens if I choose Plus or Premium?
Plus and Premium include sponsored airplay. If the release is accepted, Electric will ask for a radio edit under 4 minutes before the airplay element can run.
How are paid placements labelled?
Paid Spotlight placements are clearly disclosed at listener interaction points. Depending on the surface, we will use labels such as #ad, #sponsored, Sponsored or Advertisement so listeners can identify paid promotion before they interact with it.
Is the playlist only paid placements?
No. Electric’s playlist experience includes the biggest releases and editorial picks. Spotlight Release is the paid route for DJs and producers who want one of their own tracks considered for featured placement.
Where do I submit my release?
Purchase starts inside your Electric profile under the Tools tab so the campaign can be linked to your DJ account and tracked through admin review.
Do you work with labels or playlist promoters?
Spotlight Release is currently built for DJs and producers promoting one release. A dedicated playlist tool for labels and playlist promoters is planned soon.
