SoundCloud Sessions: The DJ performance series launched with Twitch

SoundCloud and Twitch have announced SoundCloud Sessions, a new performance series designed to help DJs reach wider audiences across both platforms. The collaboration combines Twitch's live streaming community with SoundCloud's music discovery platform.

The series launches with performances from Conrad Taylor, Ken Dollaz and Jessu. DJs from around the world will be able to stream live on Twitch while connecting with new listeners through SoundCloud and fans can watch performances in real time and engage with artists and music communities.

SoundCloud Sessions begins with an all-day event on June 26 from 9am PT. DJs taking part must be enrolled in the Twitch DJ Program and link their SoundCloud profile to their Twitch bio. Selected participants will also have access to future promotional opportunities across both platforms.

The announcement follows continued growth for electronic music on SoundCloud. The company's latest Music Intelligence Report found the genre grew by 39% year-on-year, while scenes including hard techno and UK garage continue to expand through creator-led communities.

The partnership reflects both platforms' focus on expanding opportunities for DJs, using live streaming and music discovery to help emerging artists connect with larger audiences and build their communities online.
