Music Room Belfast: New hi-fi listening bar opens to the public

Belfast's first dedicated hi-fi listening bar, Music Room opened its doors on 1st July.
Created by local DJ and creative OJ Wilson and and Janine Kane, the venue has been designed as a music-focused space centred around high-quality sound, vinyl culture and a programme of music-led events.
At the heart of the venue is a bespoke sound system, featuring custom speakers, handmade drivers and dual subwoofers. Music Room has also partnered with Belfast record store Sound Advice, allowing visitors to browse and purchase vinyl records inside the venue.
Wilson says the concept was inspired by visits to listening bars in cities including Paris, Dublin and Ibiza, with the aim of creating a dedicated space where music, sound and atmosphere take priority. The venue also plans to host a range of cultural events alongside its music programming.
The opening reflects the continued growth of listening bars across the UK and Europe, as venues place greater emphasis on sound quality and curated music experiences. The venue is the first of its kind in Belfast and adds a new destination for vinyl collectors, DJs and music enthusiasts.
Music Room joins a growing number of listening bars opening across the UK and Europe, reflecting continued interest in spaces designed around high-quality sound and carefully curated music.
