James Hype: Viral edit of 'Work' gets official release

James Hype has officially released his long-awaited viral edit of ‘Work’.

The track reworks the classic vocal by Pupa Nas T and Denise Belfon and arrived on 3 July via Disorder and Digital Drum after months of anticipation from fans.

Originally created as a private edit for his own DJ sets, the track gained widespread attention after clips from Hype’s festival performances circulated online.

The response led to the original rights holders clearing the sample for worldwide release.

The release forms part of Disorder’s ongoing Work campaign and follows previous reworks from SHUFFA and FOVOS.

The project has already received support from artists including Peggy Gou, Chris Stussy, KETTAMA, Interplanetary Criminal, Silva Bumpa, Morgan Seatree, Girls Don’t Sync, and MALUGI.

The official release follows months of fan demand after the edit became a regular feature in James Hype’s live sets.

Alongside the release, James Hype continues his Hï Ibiza residency while touring internationally this summer.

Work is now available on all major streaming platforms following its official release.
