A new 250-capacity nightclub and arts venue, radial, is opening in Tottenham, London, in the former home of Five Miles and later MOKO. The venue has been created by Ten87 Studios after receiving funding through Arts Council England’s Supporting Grassroots Music scheme.
Located on Markfield Road near Seven Sisters, radial will host live music, club nights, performances and cultural events. Its programme will focus on "active listening" alongside artist-led projects including workshops, talks and sound-based wellness events.
The venue has been designed by creative studio SODA, drawing inspiration from Olafur Eliasson’s The Weather Project. The space includes seating for up to 80 people, a standing capacity of 250, and a bespoke 10-point sound system with acoustics designed by Nick Whitaker, who previously worked with Plastic People.
Ten87 Studios says the venue is intended to support its creative community and continue Tottenham’s musical heritage following the closure of the previous venue. Radial is expected to host its first events later this month.
