Beatport opens applications for its 2027 Next artist programme

Applications are open for Beatport Next 2027, Beatport’s year-long artist development programme for emerging DJs and producers. Applicants can be based in any country, and applications close on 6th November 2026, via Mixmag. The new class is due to be announced in January.
The programme has selected artists since 2021, with the stated aim of giving up-and-coming electronic artists a platform and supporting their careers. The year-long format brings together opportunities for visibility and industry support, rather than focusing on a single release or event.
Selected artists can receive editorial coverage across Beatport’s website and social channels. The programme also includes opportunities to perform at live events and festivals, take part in industry panel talks and work on brand partnerships.
Beatport’s label and marketing divisions are also set to support participants with releases, labels and wider music projects. For producers building a catalogue or developing a label, that support sits alongside the programme’s public-facing coverage and potential performance slots.
Past participants include Lou Nour, Ma Sha and D Stone, as well as TSHA, HoneyLuv, Jennifer Loveless, WOST, P-rallel and KILIMANJARO. The list indicates the range of artists who have taken part; it does not establish what future participants will achieve.
For Electric’s community, the appeal is the combination of exposure and practical support: online features, performance opportunities and help with music projects. For listeners, the programme’s coverage and events may offer a way to encounter artists they do not already follow.
Applications close on 6th November, with the Beatport Next Class of 2027 due to be announced in January. The programme is open to emerging DJs and producers worldwide.
