MK marked his debut album with a secret-location Manchester party

Manchester got a surprise on 29th October as house music heavyweight MK (Marc Kinchen) brought an unforgettable night of music to the city, taking over the iconic Victoria Baths for a secret pop-up party celebrating the release of his debut album, In The Night Again.

What made the occasion particularly special was the significance of the album itself. Despite being one of the most recognisable and influential names in house music, with a career spanning more than three decades, In The Night Again marks MK's first-ever studio album. It's a milestone moment for an artist who has spent years shaping dance floors around the world, producing club classics and delivering some of the genre's most recognisable records.

The event was announced just one day beforehand, with MK taking to Instagram on 28th October to tell Manchester to get ready to party. Promising free entry through an RSVP link, the announcement deliberately kept the venue a mystery, adding an element of excitement and anticipation for those lucky enough to secure their place.

The secret location was eventually revealed as Victoria Baths, one of Manchester's most distinctive and historically significant buildings. The Grade II-listed former swimming baths, renowned for their stunning architecture, intricate interiors and grand tiled spaces, provided a rather extraordinary setting for an evening of house music.

It was certainly a departure from the usual club environment, bringing together the building's historic character and the unmistakable energy of a modern dance music event.

Footage shared across social media captured glimpses of the night, with MK behind the decks, the crowd embracing the atmosphere and Manchester doing what it does best: showing up for great music.

For MK, it was another opportunity to connect with the dance music community while celebrating a major new chapter in an already remarkable career. For those in attendance, it was a chance to experience something a little different: an intimate, last-minute event in an unexpected location, hosted by one of house music's most established names.
