DJ Terms & Conditions

These DJ Terms govern your use of Electric as a Community DJ. These DJ Terms are in addition to our Platform Terms & Conditions.

1. What is a Community DJ profile?

A Community DJ profile allows you to:

• Create a dedicated DJ profile page on Electric
• Add your bio, photos, and social media links
• Link to your mixes on external platforms (such as Mixcloud and SoundCloud)
• Participate in the Electric community

Community DJ profiles are free and available to all eligible users.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create a Community DJ profile. If you wish to apply for paid DJ opportunities (such as Guest Mix or Residency programmes), you must be 18 years old or have parental consent (see Guest Mix Terms and Residency Terms for details).

3. DJ profile rules

When creating and maintaining your DJ profile, you must:

• Provide accurate information about yourself and your music
• Use appropriate and non-offensive content in your bio and images
• Ensure you have the necessary rights to any content you upload (such as profile pictures and photos)
• Not impersonate other DJs or misrepresent your identity

We reserve the right to remove or edit any profile content that violates these rules or our Platform Terms & Conditions.

4. Conduct and community standards

As a Community DJ, you are expected to:

• Be respectful and professional in all interactions with listeners and other DJs
• Comply with our community standards (see Platform Terms & Conditions, section 5)
• Participate constructively in live chat and other community features

We may suspend or remove DJ profiles that violate these standards.

5. External links and third-party platforms

You may add links to your profiles on external platforms (such as Mixcloud, SoundCloud, Instagram, and Facebook). Please note that:

• We are not responsible for the content or availability of third-party platforms
• You must comply with the terms and conditions of those platforms
• Links to external content do not imply endorsement by Electric

6. Content rights and permissions

For any content you add to your DJ profile (including bio text, images, and links), you represent and warrant that:

• You own the content or have the necessary rights and permissions to use it
• The content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights
• The content complies with our Platform Terms & Conditions

7. Editorial discretion and moderation

We reserve the right to:

• Review and moderate DJ profiles and content
• Remove or edit content that violates these DJ Terms or our Platform Terms & Conditions
• Feature or promote certain DJ profiles at our discretion
• Remove profiles that are inactive or abandoned

8. Relationship with Electric

Community DJs are independent users of the Electric platform and are not employees, contractors, or agents of We Are MTR (UK) Limited. Nothing in these DJ Terms creates an employment or partnership relationship.

9. Upgrading to Guest Mix or Residency

If you wish to apply for a Guest Mix opportunity or a Residency programme (CORE or PRO), separate terms and conditions will apply. Please see:

• Guest Mix Terms – for one-off guest mix opportunities
• CORE Residency Terms – for CORE residency subscriptions
• PRO Residency Terms – for PRO residency subscriptions

10. Termination

You may close your Community DJ profile at any time by contacting us at support@electricradio.co.uk.

We may suspend or terminate your DJ profile if you:

• Violate these DJ Terms or our Platform Terms & Conditions
• Engage in behaviour that harms the Electric community
• Remain inactive for an extended period

11. Governing law

These DJ Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
