Electric Premium Terms

Listener subscription terms

These Electric Premium Terms ("Premium Terms") govern your subscription to Electric Premium, our listener subscription service. These Premium Terms are in addition to our Platform Terms & Conditions.

1. What is Electric Premium?

Electric Premium is a subscription service that provides enhanced features for listeners, including:

  • Ad-free listening – enjoy uninterrupted listening without third-party network adverts (see "Ad-free" exceptions below)
  • HQ stream – access to our highest quality audio stream
  • Unlimited replays – listen to any past show at any time
  • Unlimited chat and reactions – the highest level of access for interacting during shows

"Ad-free" exceptions: Electric Premium removes adverts served by Electric. However, you may still hear:

  • Adverts included in third-party replay content
  • Adverts served via third-party networks and connections (such as TuneIn)

From time to time, you may also hear Electric station promos for our own content.

Free plan interaction limits: Free access may include limited chat/reactions, such as:

  • Logged-in users: one comment per day
  • Logged-in users: unlimited chat during a specific show if you follow that DJ
  • Logged-out users: one reaction per day

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to subscribe to Electric Premium. If you are under 18, you may subscribe only with the explicit consent of a parent or legal guardian, who must make the payment and agree to these terms on your behalf.

3. Availability

Electric Premium is available across all Electric platforms, including:

  • Our website (thisiselectric.co.uk)
  • iOS app (via Apple App Store)
  • Android app (via Google Play Store)

4. Free trial

We offer a 7-day free trial for new subscribers who choose the annual subscription option. During the trial period, you will have full access to all Premium features at no cost.

If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will automatically be charged for the subscription at the then-current rate.

5. Pricing and billing

Subscription pricing is displayed at the time of purchase and may vary depending on:

  • Your chosen billing cycle (monthly or annual)
  • Your platform (web, iOS, or Android)
  • Your location and applicable taxes

Automatic renewal: Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.

Price changes: We may change our subscription prices from time to time. If we increase the price of your subscription, we will notify you at least 30 days before the change takes effect. If you do not agree to the new price, you may cancel your subscription before the change takes effect.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel your Electric Premium subscription at any time by:

  • Web subscribers: Visiting your account settings on thisiselectric.co.uk
  • iOS subscribers: Managing your subscription through the Apple App Store
  • Android subscribers: Managing your subscription through Google Play Store

If you cancel during a billing period, you will continue to have access to Premium features until the end of that period. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods.

7. Refunds

Refund policies vary depending on where you purchased your subscription:

  • iOS and Android: Refunds are governed by Apple's and Google's respective refund policies. Please contact Apple or Google directly for refund requests.
  • Web: Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us at support@electricradio.co.uk to request a refund.

We reserve the right to refuse refunds for subscriptions that have been used extensively or where we suspect abuse.

8. Service availability and changes

We strive to provide a reliable and high-quality service, but we do not guarantee that:

  • Electric Premium features will always be available or error-free
  • The service will meet your specific requirements
  • Any particular content will always be available

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any Premium features at any time, with or without notice. If we make significant changes that materially reduce the value of your subscription, we will provide reasonable notice and, where appropriate, offer a pro-rated refund.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your Electric Premium subscription if you:

  • Violate these Premium Terms or our Platform Terms & Conditions
  • Engage in fraudulent activity or payment disputes
  • Share your account with others in violation of our terms

If we end your subscription due to a breach of these terms, you will not receive a refund for any unused portion of your subscription.

11. Governing law

These Premium Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
