Guest Mix Terms
Guest mix tiers, partnership takeovers, fees, requirements and process
Last updated: 29/07/2026
These Guest Mix Terms govern your application for and participation in the Electric Guest Mix programme, including invited guest appearances delivered as part of a partnership campaign or takeover. These Guest Mix Terms are in addition to our Platform Terms & Conditions and DJ Terms.
1. What is the Electric Guest Mix?
The Electric Guest Mix is a one-off DJ opportunity that allows you to showcase your talent on our platform. Your mix will be broadcast on Electric and may be made available for replay, with promotional support based on your chosen tier or the inclusions confirmed in your invitation.
Some Guest Mix opportunities are offered through a brand or promotional partner as a partnership campaign or takeover. In those cases, your invitation may confirm a selected broadcast slot, different deliverables, a mix already supplied to Electric, or a waived Guest Mix fee.
2. Eligibility
To apply for a Guest Mix, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old, or have parental consent if you are under 18 (see section 3)
- Have an active Electric account and DJ profile
- Meet the tier-specific requirements (see section 5), unless your invitation confirms different eligibility requirements
3. Under-18 applicants
If you are under 18, you may apply for a Guest Mix only with the explicit consent of a parent or legal guardian. In such cases:
- Your parent or guardian must review and agree to these Guest Mix Terms on your behalf
- Your parent or guardian must make the payment, where a fee applies
- Your parent or guardian is responsible for ensuring compliance with these terms
4. Music and content requirements
All Guest Mix submissions must:
- Include at least 50% new or recently released music (released within the last 3–6 months)
- Be appropriate for broadcast (no explicit content that violates broadcasting standards)
- Comply with our community standards and Platform Terms & Conditions
Genre exclusions: We do not currently accept Guest Mix applications for the following genres:
- Drum & bass (except short commercial mini-mixes)
- Hardcore / hardstyle
- Minimal tech/prog
If your mix style doesn't match our current programming, we may not be able to consider your application at this time.
5. Tiers and pricing
Our standard public Guest Mix offer has three tiers, each with different inclusions and pricing:

Partnership campaigns and takeovers
An invitation issued by Electric for a partnership campaign or takeover may:
- Waive some or all of the standard Guest Mix fee
- Confirm a tier, broadcast slot or set of deliverables without requiring you to select them
- Confirm that Electric or its partner already holds the selected mix, so no additional upload is required
Any waiver or variation applies only where it is confirmed in your invitation or onboarding journey. Unless expressly varied there, the remaining provisions of these Guest Mix Terms continue to apply.
6. Application and acceptance
To apply for a Guest Mix:
- Complete the application form or invited onboarding journey on our website
- Provide all required information, including your mix details and social media links
- Select your preferred tier and complete payment (if applicable)
We will review your application and notify you of our decision. Please note that:
- Applications are subject to approval at our discretion
- We may request additional information or changes to your submission
- Acceptance is not guaranteed, even if you meet the eligibility requirements
7. Payment and refunds
Payment: Payment is required at the time of application for Standard, Returning, and Premium tiers unless your invitation expressly confirms that the fee has been waived or paid by a partner.
Waived fees: If your invitation confirms that a fee is waived, no payment is due from you for that invited Guest Mix opportunity. A fee waiver does not remove your other obligations under these Guest Mix Terms.
No refunds: Once your application has been accepted, paid, and is in progress, we do not provide refunds. This includes situations where:
- You change your mind about participating
- You are unable to meet the submission deadline
- Your mix does not meet our quality standards and requires resubmission
If we reject your application before it enters production, we will provide a full refund.
8. Scheduling and deadlines
Once your application is accepted, we will work with you to:
- Schedule a broadcast date for your mix
- Provide submission guidelines and technical requirements
- Set a deadline for your final mix submission, unless your invitation confirms that Electric already holds the selected mix
Where a mix submission is required, you must submit your final mix by the agreed deadline. If you miss the deadline without prior arrangement, we may reschedule your broadcast or cancel your Guest Mix without refund.
9. Content submission and uploads
You will normally upload your mix directly to Electric through our platform. For an invited partnership campaign or takeover, Electric or its partner may already hold the selected mix and confirm that no additional upload is required.
By uploading a mix, or by accepting an invitation that authorises Electric to use a mix already supplied by you or on your behalf, you confirm that:
- You have created the mix yourself or have permission from all contributors
- You have the necessary rights and licenses for all music included in the mix
- The mix complies with all applicable copyright and licensing requirements (including PRS/PPL licenses, which Electric maintains)
- The mix meets our quality and content standards
10. Rights and performer release
By submitting your mix, you grant We Are MTR (UK) Limited a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual licence to:
- Reproduce, broadcast, and distribute your mix
- Publish your mix on our platform and third-party platforms (such as Mixcloud)
- Use your name, likeness, and biographical information for promotional purposes
- Edit or interrupt your mix for commercial purposes (such as advertisements)
This licence does not require us to broadcast or distribute your mix for any reason other than archival purposes.
Your warranties: You represent and warrant that:
- The mix is your own original work, or you have full authority to grant these rights
- The content is either original, in the public domain, or covered by Electric's performance licenses (PRS/PPL)
- You assume no responsibility for the sufficiency of Electric's performance licenses
11. Deliverables and promotion
Based on your chosen tier or the inclusions confirmed in your invitation, we will provide:
- Broadcast of your mix on Electric
- Publication of your mix on Mixcloud
- Promotional support (such as social media posts, artwork, and listener reports, depending on tier)
We will make reasonable efforts to deliver these services, but we do not guarantee specific audience numbers or promotional outcomes.
12. Quality standards and resubmissions
We reserve the right to:
- Request changes or resubmissions if your mix does not meet our quality standards
- Reject mixes that contain inappropriate content or violate these terms
- Reschedule or cancel broadcasts at our discretion
If we require a resubmission, you must provide the revised mix within a reasonable timeframe. Repeated resubmissions may result in cancellation without refund.
13. Moderation and editorial discretion
We reserve the right to:
- Review and moderate all submitted content
- Edit or remove content that violates these terms or our community standards
- Make editorial decisions about scheduling, promotion, and presentation
14. Cancellation and rescheduling
By you: If you need to cancel or reschedule your Guest Mix, please contact us as soon as possible at support@electricradio.co.uk. Where you paid a fee, refunds are not provided once your application has been accepted and is in progress.
By us: We may cancel or reschedule your Guest Mix if:
- You violate these terms or our Platform Terms & Conditions
- You fail to meet submission deadlines
- Technical issues or scheduling conflicts arise
If we cancel your Guest Mix for reasons within our control, we will offer to reschedule or provide a refund.
15. Governing law
These Guest Mix Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
